DAVLER MEDIA RE-LAUNCHES Promenade MAGAZINE
New York's Oldest In-Room Publication Now Serves New York's Wealthiest Visitors
NEW YORK, NY (November 26th, 2007)--Promenade Magazine, New York's longest-running visitor publication serving the luxury market and New York's four-and-five-star hotel guests, re-launches this month under its new owner, Davler Media Group. Davler Media's flagship publication is City Guide, New York's leading, comprehensive resource for New York visitors on local dining, shopping, theater, museums, and attractions. Davler Media also publishes New York Metro Parents, a collection of five regional magazines serving parents and families in the tri-state area. Promenade, which has been published since 1934, is a quarterly magazine and will be placed in-room at over 85 of Manhattan's most luxurious hotels.
"Promenade will serve the wealthiest 1% of the world's population when they're visiting New York," said David Miller, CEO of Davler Media and publisher of Promenade. "Foreign visitors, especially, are spending more dollars in Manhattan than ever before because of the very favorable currency conversions that exist right now. 46 million visitors spent over $25 billion in New York City in 2006. The 2007 numbers are going to be even bigger. We think the timing for this re-launch couldn't be better."
In addition to updated listings and guides for the affluent visitor, the new Promenade features a revamped editorial focus-one that includes in-depth articles and stunning photography covering Manhattan's most exclusive shopping, dining, cultural events, services, and art galleries. The Holiday issue, which will be distributed the week of 11/26, features articles on SoHo shopping, a tour of the breathtaking Greek and Roman galleries recently installed at the Met, the Neue Galerie's new Gustav Klimt exhibit, Manhattan's finest dining, and much more.
"There aren't many publications dedicated exclusively to the affluent New York visitor. Many of the ones who are focus on celebrity coverage or similar information not of specific interest to Manhattan visitors," said Miller. "Promenade is very tightly focused on the things that make New York timeless. We anticipate that hotel guests will read the magazine because it's alluring, and then act upon the information it contains because it's useful.
