The New York City Association of Hotel Concierges (NYCAHC) honored the 2016 winners of the Concierge Choice Awards on Monday evening the 26th of September. City Guide, New York City’s tourism media brand hosted the hospitality industry’s most prestigious awards gala at the Battery Gardens in Battery Park. The category selection and voting are done by more than 1,000 NYC concierges, who vote for businesses who provide excellent services to their guests.
Established in 2007, the Concierge Choice Awards (CCA) recognizes companies, organizations and individuals who create exceptional experiences for New York City visitors. A portion of the proceeds raised at the event is donated to Les Clefs d’Or Relief Foundation and NYCAHC Charitable Fund.
Dalver Media, the umbrella media group of City Guide, has hosted the awards dinner every year. This evening’s Master of Ceremonies was award-winning New York radio news reporter for 1010 WINS Radio, Juliet Papa. The night was enhanced by live performances by Broadway stars Ellyn Marie Marsh from KINKY BOOTS and Charity Angel Dawson of WAITRESS.

The evening concluded with the special Community Choice Award, this year honoring NYC & Company for their continued contributions to NYC tourism and the concierge community. Fred Dixon, CEO of the official destination marketing organization for the five boroughs of New York City, accepted the award, thanking and praising the NYCAHC and Davler Media Group.

The New York City Association of Hotel Concierges (NYCAHC) is an incorporated, not-for-profit group that fosters growth and development in the concierge profession and the hospitality industry at large. The association, comprised of over 140 members, represents approximately 51 hotels or nearly 28,000 rooms in the New York metropolitan area. Besides hotels, corporate members of NYCAHC include top shopping destinations, restaurants, sightseeing and tour companies.
