FINALISTS ANNOUNCED FOR THE FIRST-EVER MOMMYBITES “NANNY OF THE YEAR” CONTEST

Mommybites Nanny of the year contest

-Winner to be Determined by Public Vote-

New York, NY (Oct. 21, 2021): To honor nannies for their hard work and dedication, Davler Media launched the first-ever Mommybites “Nanny of the Year” contest with winners to be determined by public vote through Oct. 30, 2021.

The Mommybites “Nanny of the Year” contest raises awareness of the importance and value of a profession, which is often scrutinized and is reported to now be in shortage. The best nannies are reliable, trustworthy, loving, smart, fun, patient, and so much more. Mommybites recognizes the hard work that they do, even during the most challenging times—caring for the children of frontline workers and lawmakers and supporting parents in new ways.

With the help of expert nannies affiliated with the International Nanny Association (INA), Mommybites’ five finalists were announced on Friday, Oct. 15. Their photos and nominations are online at www.mommybites.com/nannycontest.

Jamie Hickmond from Jersey City, NJ

Margot Vallejo from New York, NY

Betty Franco from Wilton, CT

Tassecia Simpson-Little from Yonkers, NY (works in Rye Brook, NY)

Elizabeth Campbell from Long Island, NY (worked in Sea Cliff, NY)

Here are testaments to the nannies’ dedication to their work from their loving families:

  • Showing up to work as scheduled while dealing with a home disaster caused by Hurricane Ida.
  • Stepping into the role of teacher for several children when school went remote.
  • Being the leader of the pack; the source of information for all nannies new to town.
  • Caring for an entire family while a mother recovered from brain surgery.
  • Helping a family stay connected during COVID/quarantine-caused separation.

Now through Oct. 30, people can vote for their favorite finalist, who will become the first Mommybites “Nanny of the Year.” All five finalists will be featured in a special publication and receive memberships to the INA. The winning nanny will also receive $500.
