Hotel Distribution

Be part of the story when visitors are planning their trips and bucket lists. City Guide’s content provides tips, information, and inspiration, reaching NYC tourists when they’re making their decisions about where to spend their time and money.

City Guide magazine has been publishing since 1982 and for 40 years we have consistently delivered excellent circulation. Our reach includes 90% of the Manhattan hotels, plus selected hotels in Brooklyn, Queens and Northern New Jersey. Additionally, magazines are given out at tourist centers, kiosks, and information centers as well as in street furniture locations and boxes.

The distribution process has always been dynamic and will continue to be going forward in 2022-23. The same distribution team has worked for City Guide for 15 years. Distribution managers continuously monitor all locations and add and reduce the “draws” based on feedback from the distribution locations and counting returns at boxes. Our veriﬁcation team calls locations to review quality of distribution and pick-up rates. The staff scouts for new locations and contacts new hotels prior to their opening to arrange distribution. We provide display racks for locations that request them and replace when damaged. City Guide’s success for 40 years is largely a result of our superior distribution and we are committed to maintaining those standards into the future.
